Even if just for one day. Today I am promoter of blogs. I’m retweeting nifty posts, and joining up with fabulous ladies in an attempt to rule the world. Okay just kidding. In an attempt to conquer ProBloggers 31 Day Challenge. Several us joined up to promote each other, so here are some lovely ladies that you should meet.
I’ll post what they each said about themselves, followed by a brief comment from me. Have fun!
From the longest list post in the history of list posts 10 things We Wish Someone Had Told Us When We Started Graduate School to the post from yesterday The Basics: Graduate Seminars which offers some advice for surviving and thriving in college and graduate level seminars and tutorials, Anna Blanch often writes about her journey through Graduate School and her life as an ex-pat – she is an Australian living in the St Andrews, Scotland who spent some time living in the heart of Texas! But more than this, Anna, a self described scholar-blogger, explores the relationships between literature and popular culture, religion, theology, and faith. She also writes about Children’s literature and seeks to serve parents who are considering what it means to raise discerning readers!
Aussie/Texan/Scottish? Can you imagine the stories this woman must have? I’m thinking about what that accent would sound like.
Her list isn’t really 10, but it’s chock-full of very handy information, for anyone looking to pursue a graduate degree. In fact I’ll be bookmarking her website for future reference, because I think some of it could be applied to any degree you pursue.
Kreate by KeKe: a scrapbooking blog by a beginner, for beginners. I promise this blog will only be about scrapbooking (with an occasional tangential rambling about life here and there). I promise I will try techniques and teach them to you to the best of my ability. I promise I will show you how to make a scrapbook that is YOU and friendly on your budget. I promise to have links to the most fabulous scrapbooking blogs, resources, and supply sites. http://kreatebykeke.blogspot.com/2010/06/dos-donts-etiquette-for-beginner.html is a funny post on the do’s and don’ts for beginner scrapbookers.
She has some awesome tips for people (like me) who want to delve into scrapbooking but don’t know where to start. She had me laughing with the very first tip, where she x’s out her kitty, on behalf of her dog.
The lady who gathered us together has a blog, called Strong Personality, at www.jennybradbury.blogspot.com:. She say’s I’m a Seattle parent on the brink of a career change. Strong Personality is my place to share tips & tools that make my busy life easier ! http://jennybradbury.blogspot.com/2010/04/caregiver-brochure.html
This is a really handy thing for anyone who’s left their kids with a babysitter, or sent them to Grandma’s for the weekend. Considering we have family all over the country, who want to have the kids with them when they get older (we’re a military family) this could really be handy.
Jamie blogs at http://www.allmylooseends.com where she tackles marriage, motherhood and creativity all tied up in one. She wrote the post http://allmylooseends.com/2010/02/25/saying-yes/ in February as a reminder about the importance of saying yes.
This was a very touching post that gently reminds us to be grateful for what we have. What you have, someone else may have lost, or never had. Good stuff.
http://bit.ly/anmQPZ The post is a rant about misuse of Facebook. I would love to hear other people’s take on this issue. Terri is a wife, mother of 10, grandmother of 2 and an all-around fun person. I write two blogs and have a novel in progress. She blogs at http://theverylatestthing.blogspot.com
This woman is superwoman! She cooks, she cleans, she blogs, she birthed and homeschooled/is homeschooling 10 kids. Including me.
And if she’s my Mom, she must be fabulous right? Seriously though, this post was epic.
Hope you enjoyed the reads.

Hmm. A bit biased on that last one I'd say. LOL Thanks for the link love. Oh, and “superwoman” is really stretching it.
